Senior Manager, Infrastructure Development: Reporting to the Director of Planning and Development, the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Development will be responsible for overseeing Develop Nova Scotia’s infrastructure project planning and project delivery. Within a project-based environment, you’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team to lead the detailed design, tendering, construction and commissioning of infrastructure required in the execution of Develop Nova Scotia’s mandate. This includes planning for new facilities to be built as well as assessing and recapitalizing existing assets and infrastructure. You will also oversee procurement and management of consultant and contractor services involved in the infrastructure program.
Planner: Reporting to the Senior Manager of Planning, the Planner is responsible to deliver a wide range of land and infrastructure planning projects in the execution of Develop Nova Scotia’s mandate. Within a project-based environment, you’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deal with a variety of projects, bringing a planning approach and design thinking to solutions generation. Providing planning and project management expertise to strategic and tactical level projects including planning, master planning, evaluation of plans and proposals, strategic land acquisitions, and long-term planning. Additionally, you’ll liaise with key stakeholders including all levels of government, community groups, consultants, developers and other partners to coordinate projects and programs.
Director of Property Management: As the Director of Property Management, your portfolio will include some of Nova Scotia’s highest profile and most visited properties. Leading a team, you will be responsible for ensuring tenants and partners are happy, the property is clean, green and safe, business is booming and people – residents and visitors would rather be in no other place. Practically, you are leading business and program development and management including commercial tenancies, and, together with the Director of Marine Program, waterfront operations, OHS, security, and maintenance, with an emphasis on quality of experience, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and fiscal responsibility.
Director, People and Strategy: Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Director, People & Strategy will be responsible to steward strategic plan development and implementation, talent management, and internal culture and strategy alignment. This will be achieved by working closely with the CEO and the leadership of line departments. This role will also support the CEO to ensure board and shareholder expectations are met from a governance perspective particularly as it relates to Corporate and Talent Strategy. While also working closely with key stakeholders and external partners, the individual will work to advance the organizational strategy or key initiatives which are central to the strategy. With an external focus they will determine and make recommendations that support the development of strategic initiatives and influence business planning.
