Dartmouth Cove Comprehensive Plan
Waterfront Development and Halifax Regional Municipality have started a comprehensive planning process for this area (map outline and photo). Consultation with both the public and private sector are important components in the process of identifying both the constraints and opportunities associated with the long term mixed use development of these waterfront lands. Dartmouth Harbourwalk
Waterfront Development continues with improvements to the Dartmouth Harbourwalk Trail, a 3 km long multi-use pedestrian walkway located between the Dartmouth and Woodside Ferry Terminals. Recent work on the section of trail located between Maitland Street and Old Ferry Road has included landscaping, fencing and the installation of crosswalk markings and signage. Additional landscaping and park benches were installed in spring of 2011.
