Building on the successful partnership with Halifax Regional Municipality on the Nathan Green Square Project, Build Nova Scotia again partnered with the City to manage the restoration of ‘The Wave’ art sculpture and the recapitalization of structural and surface elements at the two-acre public park at the foot of Sackville Street on the Halifax waterfront.

BACKGROUND

The project involved a continuation of the timber boardwalk on the water side and the area around The Wave, which was commissioned by then Waterfront Development in 1998.

Enhancements also included landscaping, improved water views and reconfiguring the elevated area (podium) to make it more easily accessible to the public. The project was completed in 2013.
