The boardwalk provides important public access along the working waterfront and a connection between the park area, Wharf A (Zwicker Wharf) and downtown Lunenburg.
Wharf A, which underwent repairs, is home to free public daytime berthing as part of an expanding marina program that includes additional floating docks. Additional park upgrades include seating areas, landscaping and signage.
The Lunenburg Waterfront Marina also continues to see enhancements for boaters. These include improved wharfage, floating/dinghy docks, bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, improved signage and itineraries, and increasing alignment with suppliers. Showers and laundry facilities are being added for the 2018 season near Zwicker.
