Sparkling water, a thriving downtown business core, a working port and harbour traffic combine to make the Halifax waterfront both a picturesque destination – and one of Nova Scotia’s most visited locations.
With the sparkling ocean and a working port as a backdrop, it’s no wonder that the Halifax waterfront is home to countless large and smaller world-class events each year. From walk-a-thons, to Nocturne, the world-renowned Busker Festival to International Tall Ships visits, Halifax is a vibrant event city.

Waterfront Pizza & Wraps
Josh Robinson is no stranger to the Halifax waterfront, having operated The Sugar Shack for the past three years, which he started as a freshman in university. His business partner in this latest venture is one of his professors, Kevin Doucette. Towards the end of his course, Josh asked if he was willing to be his business mentor for the Canadian Youth Business Foundation Program; an organization which provides pre-launch coaching, business resources, start-up financing, and mentoring for youth to start up a small business.
Waterfront Pizza and Wraps can feed a family of four, with pizza, wraps, and/or salads in under 5 minutes and provide a full restaurant offering out of a 15 foot x 15 foot kiosk.

BeaverTails
BeaverTails are a delicious and unique pastry that is truly Canadian. On his first Canadian visit, President Barack Obama took time during his 6 hour visit in Ottawa to buy a BeaverTail in the Byward Market in the nation’s capital.
BeaverTails were also featured at the Olympics this year as being one of the favourite treats among many who attended and participated in the Olympics.
Enjoy one of Canada’s favourite delicacies, served piping hot and topped with butter and your choice of delectable flavours. Or try a real fruit organic smoothie.
