LIVE WEBCAM Parking on the Halifax Waterfront
The Halifax waterfront, and downtown core, are popular destinations. From restaurants and nightclubs, market trips to hockey games, and everything in between — we’re at the centre of it all.
24/7 waterfront parking is where downtown begins. Look for the blue P on Lower Water St. Did You Know? Parking revenue is reinvested back into your waterfront.
Short-Term Parking Options and Locations
- For shorter-term visits, there is a $3 hourly rate (credit card and coin). If you are paying with coin, you can also choose to purchase 10-minute increments (Pay & Display).
- Daily flat rate of $16. This option is available between 8 am and 6 pm.
- Nightly flat rate of $6. Park After Dark’ is available from 6 pm to 8 am. A great option if you are out for an evening in downtown Halifax or even need a place to park your vehicle during a winter storm so it’s not on the street.
- Waterfront meters, located next to Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and NovaScotian Crystal, are $3/hour during the day and free daily from 6 pm to 8 am and 24 hours on weekends.

Waterfront Access Passes give you 24/7 access at 4 different lots. Passes are $140/month (taxes included).
