Look up. Way up! Tall Ships Nova Scotia is the one of the biggest, most exciting events to hit our waterfronts. The perfect family event, Tall Ships showcases the best of Nova Scotia through music, food, film and history. TALL SHIPS ATLANTIC CHALLENGE 2012 THE SHIPS THE PORTS MEDIA PARTNERS
"Tall Ships events are signature events for the city and province, and volunteers play a huge role in the success of the event," said Colin MacLean, president and CEO, Waterfront Development. "Volunteers help us to welcome the ships, captains and crews to the ports, and showcase the best of Nova Scotia to residents and tourists."
Tall Ships Nova Scotia is a signature Nova Scotia event that will take place in:

The event is a partnership with Tall Ships America, an organization devoted to sail training. The Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge starts in Savannah, Georgia in May, and ships race to Greenport, New York, and then to Newport, Rhode Island, and then to Halifax.
Tall Ships 2012 will showcase Nova Scotia at its best, and as an extension of that, volunteers will act as ambassadors of the event, the city and the province.
