As part of the event, there will be two evenings of free, live, all ages, French music (June 23 and 24 from 5:00pm to 10:30pm), taking place at Foundation Place, 1549 Lower Water Street.
Featured acts are Blague et Hale (Saint-Pierre et Miquelon), Chanson d’Occasion (France Mainland), and Izabelle (NB, Canada). Music will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will run until 10:30 p.m. each evening. Local vendors will be onsite offering a variety of refreshments, including a beer tent. The concerts are open to all ages and will take place next to Waterfront Warehouse.
About The Event:
From June 22 to June 26, the Halifax Waterfront welcomes this international Ocean Race. Come and welcome the international racing crews and take in the sites of these competitive sailing boats. Local nearby vendors offering tasty fare and experiences come together with Saint-Pierre et Miquelon local products, exceptional images of the neighbouring French Archipelago, legendary history of sailors and unforgettable encounters with the people of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon who are coming to invite you to visit their islands.
Be sure to come out for the race start on June 26 as racers depart from the start line near the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic at Noon and head towards Saint-Pierre et Miquelon!
